When a tattoo is placed into the skin it is placed into the dermis which is about 2-3mm within the skin.
How does it work?
When the Laser comes into contact with a tattoo the laser light is absorbed by the tattoo ink and creates a photo acoustic shock wave that releases the heat from the tattoo and shatters it to minute particles. When the particles are shattered they are then able to be carried away by the macrophages and leave the body through the lymphatic system (urine and Sweat)
An average of 5- 8 treatments is required to remove Tattoo permanently, with 4-6 weeks between each session.
A patch test is required at least 24 hours before the treatment by law to test skin suitability to treatment.
